Frequently Asked Questions About Our Designs

My ideal situation is to be hired first. That way I can guide my clients through the whole process from beginning to end.

I’m a firm believer that design should lead any large-scale renovation or new construction.

We start with your needs and wants. Creating a wish list based on your lifestyle and a budget for the project based on that wish list allows us to have a deep understanding of how to proceed with your project. we will define your style and we will hold your hand through the entire design process. I call it design therapy.

We define your style by a series of design direction meetings. I really want to get to know your likes and dislikes. What you dislike is equally as important as your likes. these discussions give me great insight as to what you want in your home and why. We will assign adjectives to how you want to feel in your space as well as how you want the space to look.

For every project, we need to prioritize. Do you want it fast? do you want it cheap? do you want it to be good? you only get to choose 2 in every category. By defining your style and finalizing a budget, we will discuss these priorities at length and decide the best roadmap for you. this is important because it allows me to manage your expectations.

We create a budget during the preliminary design phase so we can make sure that you have the proper financing available for your project. We do not want to waste your time or ours trying to create something that you just can not afford to execute. We will always be brutally honest about what things cost. I like to work on a good, better, best scale to educate you about market availability and provide you with options that best suit your budget and lifestyle.

I like to say that Murphy's law is very common in the construction and design industry. I will be there throughout the process to provide design solutions or offer support as needed throughout the whole design process. Accountability and execution work hand in hand. your experience with me and my team is of the utmost importance to me.
